I saw the movie 'Risky Business' over the weekend. It is a truly enjoyable movie with beautiful suburban Chicago (actually North Shore) scenery. The acting is excellent with a group of unknowns playing all the roles. The story is not particularly realistic at times, but is still a lot of fun. The major characters are very memorable (e.g. Lana (the prostitute), Joel (our hero), Guido (the killer pimp) and Joel's best friend (I can't remember his name, but his famous line is "What the f---!")) and are played to the hilt by the cast. The story centers on the misadventures of Joel while his well-to-do parents are out of town. Joel is trying to get into an Ivy League school while finishing high school and attempting to have some fun while his parents are gone. In the process, he gets involved with prostitutes (ranging from a transvestite to the heroine), runs afoul of Guido (the killer pimp), plus other chaotic events. One of the most memorable scenes is the one used in promos for the movie - that of Joel dancing and performing to a Bob Seeger song in his underwear. The chase scene is also well done and centers on the reaction of the participants rather than the chase itself. Some of the fantasy scenes that Joel imagines are rather striking also. This movie is enjoyable and a lot of fun and I recommend it highly! Allen England ihnp4!ihuxb!alle
