I also saw the movie Yellowbeard and thought it was one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time. If you liked Holy Grail, and Life of Brian, then you should enjoy this movie. It is one of those rare movies that I laughed all the way through, much better then the Meaning of Life. Cheech (sp?) and Chong fans may not like this preformance as much as some of their earlier movies, the characters are not what I would expect from them, but they fit the story better (yes there is really a story and plot that is followed). I would suggest this movie to anyone, even at the $4 ticket price. Like them coddles John J. Lang decvax!cca!hplabs \ ucbvax!hplabs \ ucbvax!menlo70!hao >!csu-cs!lang lbl-uni!boulder / 2537 W. I can't believe that some people liked Yellowbeard! I thought it was the worst piece of trash in years, and walked out after 1/2 hour. If you think that bloody stumps are funny; if you think that bloody nails through bloody feet are funny; if you think that getting shit thrown in your face is funny; if you think that kicking little girls down stairs is funny; ... then Yellowbeard is the movies for you. Even the nacho's at the theatre playing yellowbeard sucked. There were about 10 people in the entire theatre, prime time Saturday night. Everyone else was right. Yellowbeard: see it iff you like unfunny gross boring things that waste time and cost money. - Rich Greenberg

#N:ecn-ec:7000046:000:629 ecn-ec!davy Jun 25 11:15:00 1983 Yellowbeard isn't a bad movie, but it isn't an exceptionally good one either. It's biggest problem is that it's BORING. This movie has Graham Chapman and Marty Feldman (among others) in it, so I had expected to be laughing the entire time. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. There are a few funny spots, but most of it is just boring dialogue. If you go expecting to see a movie that was well done from a technical standpoint (cinematography, etc.) you will be fairly pleased. But, if you go expecting to see a good comedy, you'll be disappointed. I'm glad it only cost me $2.75. --Dave Curry pur-ee!davy
