For a year or two now I've been using The $25 Network to connect two of our machines. It has faultless and fast, considering that it works over 115Kbps serial lines. Now, however, a situation has arisen which prevents me from using a serial port for the LAN. The $25 Network can't work over parallel ports (unless there is a new version which can -- please tell me!), so I'm looking for a replacement which can. The software in question needs to support transparent disk and peripheral sharing (printers, and optionally serial devices) over the net. Cost is an issue, but reliability, transparency, and robustness are more important. Size of the resident code matters too. Any pointers will be greatly appreciated. --richard
