Hi everyone. I have a small problem. I have a TEAC 150Mb D-Cas (looks like an audio cassette) tape drive and an Alliance QIC-02 tape controller. It is installed in a pc-clone with an ISA bus. I can get the drive to work under DOS using Sytos software. It's not the smoothest operating combination but it does work. However, my problem lies with not being able to get it to work under Esix Rev D. The messages I get are address not known, can't open device for example depending on whether I use evmt or tar. Has anyone installed this tape drive on a Unix box with any success? If so how. Also, I've heard that there was a posting about a bug in the tape Roms dealing with head positioning. If someone could forward that post to me I would be very appreciative. I can't find it, it must have expired at my site. Wayne McCormick wayne@cpsc.ucalgary.ca
