Well, actually I think Quarterdeck Office Systems has the right idea and that is to merge access to local personal productivity software on your PC, in a multi-tasking environment, with the X-Windows client / server relationship to remote hosts across a network. I am still astonished that Microsoft did NOT do with with Windows. The unfortunate part of this is that the Desqview /X product is turning into vaporware since its announcement last November.

I got it from Quarterdeck Office Systems. 150 Pico Blvd. Santa Monica, CA 90405 (213) 392-9701 I don't have an urgent need for DV/X, so I haven't called to ask when it will be released.

I called up DV about 2 months ago about the DV/X booklet, and the people there are NOT very helpful. They couldn't give pricing on the product, the SDK, date of availability, etc. HOwever, the man I spoke to gave me "general" pricing of around 800 dollars for the basic SDK....which is why I am using Borland C++ and writing Windows applicatiosn right now. :-) Brian
