[comp.sys.ibm.pc] tracking keystrokes / output for later replay

There's such a thing for the Mac (yech), but I haven't seen it for the
IBM PC world:

Software that tracks all input and output during a session, whatever
programs you choose to run.  Then, you can "replay" the session, 
edit it, and so forth.

Such software would be used by researchers to track how people use
a system and then replay it later.  Or, for creating demonstrations.

If you know of such software anywhere, I'd appreciate hearing about it.
No one at Syracuse U. seems to know of anything useful for this....
