[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Connect LA-75

<i am trying to get my DEC printer LA 75 to work
with my new IBM compatible PC.  The printer is a serial
printer and needs X-on,X-off utility(protocol?) in
order to control the flow of info to the printer buffer.
A DEC technician told me that such a utility was in
public domain.  No one I ask in my area knows about it.
Does anyone out there know where this utility may be found?
