In response to your message of Wed Aug 24 12:27:15 1983: Well, most of the men probably survived only marginally (some solo males I know are neat housekeepers, but more are slobs like me); more important, single males don't have to deal with KIDS. The story of a man and a woman trading places goes \\way// back; there are a number of versions of a folk tale in which the man claims his work is harder and fouls up thoroughly when the couple exchange places. There's even a song (maybe traditional) on the same theme which I remember from a kids' record series (amazing the trivia that stick long after you've forgotten what you were supposed to remember.
