From article <1991May15.203626.3835@ms.uky.edu>, by tek@ms.uky.edu (Thomas E. Kunselman): > If anyone has experience with COMPUADD, could you please let me know > what sort of reputation they have? I have a friend who says that he > loves his compuadd, and had great service from them. Someone else has told > me that the Industry Reputation of Compuadd is that their machines are made > to last no longer than two years. "Someone else": who? That sounds like something an unscrupulous competing salesman would say, not like a feasible design criterion. You can design tires for a specific life, but not computers. I've dealt with CompuAdd, and had no problems. That doesn't mean much in itself, because most products shipped work anyway; you want to find out about the few that don't. But a handful of satisfied customers, and no complaints, is a fair indication. Marty marty@hoqax.att.com hoqax!marty Martin B. Brilliant (Winnertech Corporation)
