I have an older Sperry Quad Async Communication Board, part number WSRS4B (I think), made for Sperry by Mitsubishi. It is for the Sperry IT (or PC/AT) and has a 16-bit bus connector and 4 (naturally enough) 9-pin D-connectors and 16450 UARTS. Alas, it also has two jumper blocks, about which I know nothing. Can anyone suggest a source of documentation for this board? I need to know how to configure the jumpers to select the interrupts and I/O ports for the four serial ports. The local (Seattle) Sperry sales office wasn't of any help the last time I called them (a long time ago). A pointer to someone technical at Sperry or anyone with a little documentation would be appreciated. I have the I/O port addresses and interrupt assignments of board and am a happy camper now, thanks to E-mail from bert@rsvl.unisys.com (Bert Hyman), sra@idx.com (Steve Alpert) and rmarks@KSP.unisys.COM (Richard Marks). I appreciate it, gents -- thanks very much. If anyone would like this info, they can obtain it from me. --- Joe -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joe Dubner K7JD | Hewlett Packard Company | dubner@hpspkla.HP.COM | TAFC-34 M.S. 2I | CompuServe: 76307,475 | Spokane, WA 99220 | (509) 921-3514 --------------------------------------------------------------------------
