Is there anybody out there that has been able to successfully read directly from the clock chip in the 6300? So far it has resisted my efforts at reverse-engineering what the BIOS does. The reason for this digression is that I'm getting ready to switch over to DOS 3.2, and I like the idea of not having to enter the date/time manually each time I boot. I'm thinking about changing over to a 96 TPI drive, and want DOS 3.2 for DRIVER.SYS. Thanks in advance for any hints, etc. --Bill Bill Mayhew Division of Basic Medical Sciences Northeastern Ohio Universities' College of Medicine Rootstow, OH 44272 USA phone: 216-325-2511 (wtm@neoucom.UUCP ...!cbatt!neoucom!wtm)

I don't have any information about reading the clock, but I would be interested in a summary of your efforts if you decide to go with the 96 TPI drive. I'm considering doing the same thing. Anybody out there done this? Was it worth the effort? Any and all comments/advice are/is welcome.
