Some time ago I has the same idee, but it is to much work.
	
You could connect a 1.2MB floppy on the 6300. There are 2 usefull
modes:
1:	When you could switch (or change) the speed of the drive
	to 300 rpm. You could use is as a 720KB drive.
2:	For 1.2MB you must change the clock freqention of the 765
	to 8MHz by changing a jumper, double the faselock oscilator
	frequention, change the time of an oneshot and make some
	changes in the systeemsoftware. Without adding extra
	logic you could not easy switch to the other floppy modes.
