Hi, I was wondering if anybody out there could relate experinces with the Targa-16 or the Targa-24 boards in various CPUs, the Zenith 248 in partiuclar. A while back we had a Targa-16 to experiment with for a few days. I ran into a few bugs with getting random white dots in the video on machines that were running above 6 MHz. Yes, I did ensure that the speed selector switch on the Targa was matched to the CPU clock rate. I was able to work successfully on a Victor Technologies 286 at 6 MHz. I couldn't get rid of the White dots at any clock speed on a Wells American I tried-- I've found the Wells to be rather problematic in other operational areas, so this doesn't particularly surprise me. One of our researchers is going to get the Bioquant image analysis system that uses the Targa. He's picked out the Zenith as the computer he likes best-- so, I'd like to know if it's OK to use the Targa/Z-248 combination. Thanks for any comments...
