Two questions. 1. I've stumbled across /usr/lib/wfont/PLAIN.R.E.11.A, a tiny little thing that looks perfect for either 132 column windows or 80 column windows that don't take the whole screen. Unfortunately, when I load it into slot 0 with setf, escape sequences to position the cursor line up for a bigger font. Does anyone know how to make a window with the little font that correctly behaves like a big font? Sample code graciously accepted, though pointers to the right man pages would probably suffice. 2. Now that the fire sale is on, I am thinking about getting the cartridge tape drive. (The 60 disk compressed backups are a pain...). Does the drive require specially formatted tapes, or will any DC300 do? Does it require you to use the bogus 3b2 style 'special' ctcpio program, or can you get at it like a sane tape devince in /dev with regular old cpio, tar or dd? Can it handle bigger than 20M tapes (like the DC600s)? How much should I expect to pay (I'm not an AT&T insider). Thanks! -dB -- {amdahl, cbosgd, mtxinu, ptsfa, sun}!rtech!daveb daveb@rtech.uucp
