My colleague Steve Wilson is running MAPLE on his 3B1 with the 67 MByte disk and 4M RAM, and increased his swap space to 1.5 Mbyte (?) after consultation with the HOT-LINE folk. According to Wilson, there is a secret non-publicized entry into the Rel 3.5 Diagnostic disk that enables one to do wondrous things. I have not tried this, but he has and it works; To change swap space, with the 3.5 Diagnostic disk in, when the menu shows up, don't type 1-7, but type s4test <return> 31 " i " drive i " sb 0 " wr 0 " q " 2 " and then answer the questions. Other options, to get disk data: expert > 6,12 expert > U (to exit) Does anybody know of others? Incidentally, there is a maximum size to the swap space that can be allocated that is surprisingly less than what I had expected -- I don't recall the figure, unfortunately. -- W.H. Huggins (EED)
