[comp.sys.att] 3b1 modem and British Telecom dialling

I have a 3b1 with an integral Bell tones modem.  A local guru says that
the same chip is normally used for Bell as for BT by using a hardwired
strap.  Does anyone know how to change my modem so that I can use it in
the UK?
