[comp.sys.att] Can one disable the function keys on a 7300?

The title says most of it.  An acquaintance on CompuServe with 7300s
wants to be able to cancel the utility of the function keys for a
certain application, just effectively obliterate them.  I don't know
enough about the beasties (and there aren't any nearby me here) to say
one way or the other.  Any thoughts on the subject?
