I just received my UNIX-PC Device Driver Development Guide (free of charge) from AT&T. According to the guide, there is also a Device Driver Debugger which comes with the Driver Development Kit (which I've never heard of and assume it's something avail. to VARs or something) and is described in some detail. Naturally all the kernel routines are defined along with usage notes. It all appears nicely done. Now I can make that pty driver I always wanted (:-@)) The info for ordering your own copy of the loadable device driver development guide can be found in the UNIX-PC interface spec for V3.X (page 2-51 for V3.51) and the address is: AT&T Information Systems Product Manager - UNIX-PC Enhancements Attn: Device Driver Information (Rm 6A45) 1776 On the Green Morristown, NJ 07960 I think I asked this before and got a few answers, but does anyone else in the world even care about such things as UNIX-PC device drivers? eric | | | Eric Herrin II cbosgd!ukma!eric | | "'tis better to be silent eric@UKMA.BITNET | | and be THOUGHT a fool, than to open eric@ms.uky.csnet | | one's mouth and remove all doubt." eric@ms.uky.edu | | |
