I am attempting to use Procomm 2.4.2 for the first time, by plugging a Datakit line into the Serial Port on my pc. I have all the options set to what I assume is correct (9600,N,7,1,XON/OFF) and Procomm loses multitudes of characters when I try to log on to my machine. I also tried this with a modem at 2400 baud, and the same problem occurs. I've exhausted any means that I have at my disposal to get the flow control right, and the problem persists. I have several other communications programs, and they work fine over the same line. I'd really like to be able to use Procomm, because of all the good things I've heard about it, but until I can overcome this I'll stick to my cheapo standby communications program. Anyone with any advice, please email. Thanks in advance. -- Bob Jackson (rdj@ttrde) 312-982-3578 AT&T Information Systems Computer Systems Division, 5555 Touhy Ave., Skokie, IL 60077 PATH: ...!ihnp4!ttrde!rdj
