Uh oh. I DON'T LIKE THE LOOKS OF THIS! I'd been pretty sloppy at paying
attention to /usr/adm/unix.log. Took a look last night and just about died.
After extracting floppy errors and blank lines I'm left with lines like:

Are these soft errors that were corrected on retry? I'm quite sure I never
got a !! icon over them on the status line. Boy does that look scary! Block
0 -- ouch!! Is partition 0 swap space? I have this sinking feeling ...
To all outward appearances the machine is behaving just fine. Since the last
entry is more than 10 days ago (there were older ones I didn't show) I can't
remember if these were all cases where I rebooted, but it doesn't look like it.
They don't seem to go all the way back to when I first got the machine.
