pgil@sphinx.uchicago.edu (paul gilna) (10/01/87)

I know this must have come up a thousand times, so I humbly beg your forebearence (sp?).

machine: one AT&T 6300 monochrome 20Meg HD, Totally "untweaked".
Question: Does anyone know whether this machine can be operated
under different voltage (240V) and frequency (60hz)
	 conditions ? ( 6300 is USA bought).

Since the monochrome monitor gets its power from the computer and it's
all DC, 50Hz or 60Hz makes no difference. If you want to make your
6300 run in Europe there's a small jumper on the board in the power
supply. Change it from 110 to 220. That's all there is to it. You
may even be able to reach the jumper through the fan. You may need a
new power cord compatible with a the defferent European AC sockets.
