[comp.sys.att] line one for DATA?

HELP!?!

My 3B1 is setup as a two-line system. Can someone tell me how
I can get line one to be used for data? Phtoggle just switches to
line two and makes it a voice line, but line one is always data.
I want to be able to use line one for outgoing data calls if line
two is being used by some user logged in.
If I add it to L-devices, it still bombs out if I use cu etc.
(Yes, I did remove LCK..ph0 :-)
Anyone able to use both lines for data??

The questioner asked how to use line 1 for data while someone
was logged in on line 2. Sorry. NO can do. The Unix-PC
has only the one modem. This modem can, however, be switched
between lines one and two. For multiple external data connections
an external modem could be attached to the RS232C port or some
other networking device could be added like a Starlan Interface.

I wish it were possible, but you cannot use both line for data simultaneously
because you are restricted to a single modem.
