Hi, In the latest flyer from "Priority One Electronics" on page 9, there is an advert for Taxan monitors bundled with a Paradise model 557GC EGA card. They claim the following properties for the card: o CGA, EGA, TGA Video Card o Manufactured by Paradise o 100% compatible w/CGA, EGA & TGA video modes o EGA mode 640 x 350 in 16 colors o TGA mode 640 x 400 in 16 colors o includes serial port o AT&T 6300 compatible This sounds nice, if BIOS 1.43 isn't required. Also, is TGA a synonym for the DEB's graphics? I'm curious to hear of any experiences with the 557GC. I've been using the STB Multires in my own 6300, and it works pretty well-- but I have run into a few programs that don't work correctly. I'm almost positive you have to have the 1.43 roms. If you don't have the 1.43 roms, I don't think it would be wise to buy; EGA support was one of the features of 1.43. This implies (to me) that if you don't have 1.43 you can't run EGA. An EGA card running in CGA mode would be only marginally better than what you have already.
