[comp.sys.att] 3B2 & floating-point C

dmk@topaz.rutgers.edu (David Katinsky) (10/23/87)

Hypothetical:

If I have 2 3B2s, one with and one without a floating point processor,
is it possible for me to compile a program on the non-floating-point
machine [using fpcc] such that it will take advantage of the
floating-point chip on the other machine? It is not important that it
may not run on the machine on which it was compiled.

			Many thanks,

I've never tried runing C FP+ on a machine without a MAU, but I assume
it should work. The compiler itself does not use the MAU as far as I know.
