This is a followup to my previous mail which generated no response so might have been lost. The real time clock on my 6300 appears to have died as it does not increment. Surprisingly, though, the boot-up diagnostics say: . . . RT Clock Passed . . but the diagnostic disk that came with the system indicates a fault. I have checked the battery and it is giving the correct voltage (3.6V). Before I get into the circuit with my soldering iron, can anyone suggest any common faults with these particular machines that I might check and so reduce my troubleshooting time?
