[net.music] Keith Emerson

blickstein@orphan.DEC (Dave Blickstein) (05/17/84)

Since leaving ELP Emerson has done quite a few sound tracks ("Inferno",
"Nighthawks", etc.) and has also done a solo album, "Honky" which is
somewhat hard to find, but a must for Emerson fans. The most striking
cut on that album is a typical Emerson two-hand (real-time) fugue based on
Bach on the Mast (aka the popeye theme).

There have been two cover story interviews with KE in Contemporary keyboards
magazine where he tells what he's been up to. He's also been mentioned a few
times in the Careers section. Last thing I recall was that he was forming
a band with Felix Pappalardi (sp?).

Hey....isn't Felix Pappalardi DEAD? Like about 3 years
dead??? I bet that if he is, it'll be hard to get a
very rousing performance out of him. Ah, the wonders of
modern technology
