After you remove the screws, insert a SMALL screwdriver up under the front of the 3b1 between the metal and the plastic. While lifting on the case, twist the screwdriver and you will hear the first plastic catch pop loose. There are 3 of these catches across the front of the case. Be very carefull when you lift the top of the metal pan (holding the disk), there is a vidio cable on the left side halfway back that MUST be disconnected before you lift it. If you break this cable, you can expect to pay ~$200.00 for a new one.
