Mitchum and Kirk Douglas classic film noir Palm Beach Story Preston Sturges madcap masterpiece Diva Recent French arty new wave suspense film Cutter's Way Jeff Bridges and Dennis Hopper give it their all Murmur of the Heart Louis Malle classic Lonely are the Brave Kirk Douglas as the last of the cowboys, hunted by 4-wheelers and copters The American Friend Wim Wenders film noir with Dennis Hopper and Nicholas Ray Rancho Deluxe Love the scene where they blast daddy's Lincoln with a buffalo rifle -- Slim Pickens steals the show Dr. Strangelove Speaking of Slim ..... Solaris Only SF film I have ever really liked Lady from Shanhai Pre-rotundity Orson Welles -- fantastic final scene in House of Mirrors Thief James Caan steals diamonds to Tangerine Dream syntho-pop Comments on any of these? --peter

Cutter's Way starred Jeff Bridges and John Heard, not JB and Dennis Hopper. Granted, Heard *looked* more like Dennis Hopper than himself in the movie, but credit where credit is due and all that. Lisa Eichorn (sp?) was good as Heard's (Cutter's) wife, too. -- Anne Jacko, Tektronix
