I just set up a 10 drop starlan system using a 3b1 server, msdos server and 8 msdos clients. I got the net up and running with little proplem. What I cant seem to do, is get the msdos client to call into the 3b1 as a remote login. I dont have ATT's 4010 terminal emulator or context switch, but the net software came with a program called naucom. There is LITTLE TO NO documentation for this program. From looking at it, it seems to redirect the internal tables pointing to the com ports of an IBM and move the calls to the starlan network. But how do I use this in conjunction with a terminal emulator? And what terminal emulator can I use? I would like to use kermit or procomm. Can anyone help with this? What terminal programs can I use with starlan on an IBM? What software has been written for starlan application? Starlan seems to be a VERY nice net. I have seen the novation system in operation at Kodak, and starlan really does look better. Any help, ideas or software would be greatly appreciated. -- :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: {mhuxu,u1100a}-----\ Mark Hilliard seismo!rochester!kodak!gizzmo!mark N2HHR {ethos,fthood}-----/
