I recently switched from an ATT 6300 (8086) to an ATT 6310 (80286). I had hoped to use my SCO Xenix Sys V from the 6300 on the 6310, buying the 8086 -> 80286 upgrade at a later date. The 8086 boot disk works and requests the root file system disk. The root file system passes the fsck check, but then things just stop dead. No message, nothing. Does anyone have advice on using the 8086 Xenix Sys V (2.1.3) on an 80286 machine. Does anyone have information/experience on using the 50 line capabilities of the 63?? series under Xenix? Does anyone have experience running Japanese language word Processing software on the 6310 (EW+, etc.)? Earl H.
