Has anyone else in netland seen "American Pop"? I saw it in the spring of 1981. During that happy time I was an avid moviegoer, and this film was one of the best. The storyline follows at least three generations of entertainers through stage careers and personal lives including a Janis Joplin or Grace Slick style female vocalist (who was she modelled after)? As I recall, dialog was limited. Instead, the film had alot of good music and sound effects, lots of action and visual effects. Of interest to me: the main characters are members of an immigrant family who never come close to becoming members of the establishment. Their life battles are similar to those of (many of our) forefathers to just hack out a life in America. Realistic (despite animation), often violent, absorbing film. Since I'm a hopeless sentimentalist, I found it kinda moving. Loreen Breda
