riddle@ut-sally.UUCP (10/13/83)

I wonder if anyone out there knows the title of one of the more lurid
films to have haunted my childhood imagination. It must be pushing
twenty years back that the tv stations in Fort Worth, Texas, were
incessantly running ads for a horror flick based on the theme of
perverse transplants performed by a mad scientist. I was about five
years old at the time and never saw the film, but my distorted recol-
lection is that it was set in a space station, displayed a lot of
tanks of limbs and bodies floating in suspended animation, and involved
a crew of hacked up and strangely reassembled people and -- most
horrible and fascinating of all! -- one character who was woman on
one side and man on the other. Needless to say, my folks didn't take
me to see the film; I was probably much too shy to reveal my interest
in something as taboo as that anyway. Anybody seen it or have an idea
what it might have been?
