Recently I saw Gallipoli at Drew University because I had nothing better
to do at the time.
I went in without even the faintest idea of what to expect. The result: I
was overwhelmed. The plot was OK, but the acting and camera work made up
for this tremendously. If you can bear the Australian accents for a couple
hours, and don't mind having a few tears jerked out of your eyes, grab a
hankie and seek this film out. Good stuff. I paid only a buck for the film
and in hindsight, I would have gladly paid more.
