[comp.sys.att] Unix 3.51 with old Applications?

mkm@k.gp.cs.cmu.edu (Michael Molloy) (07/26/88)

Before I spend the money on 3.51 (I am currently running 3.0)
for my unix-pc (7300), I want to know about the compatibility
of my application software, Microsoft WORD, Microsoft MULTIPLAN,
and the system development utilities.

Can anyone comment on the problems I may face with the upgrade?

P.S. Anyone interested in selling a database system, like Dbase III?
or better yet, Informix? I am also looking for ethernet support
for the 7300 (there is board from TRC but the support software is
more than the board!). I have seen a reference to the STORE on this
newsgroup. Do they have a catalog?

How about the Smart System, and some of the AT&T stuff (like the VDI
kit).

Same here.

Likewise, what's the lowest 3.51 + dev kit price anyone has seen?
