Subject: Please don't create a 3b2.* news distribution!

Len - I appreciated the information you've posted on making 3B2 boot floppies.
If you want to distribute software, *please* don't create a separate set of
newsgroups for it!

- distributions are a pain to administer, and cut your audience down a lot.
- some news software chokes if there are too many newsgroups
	which there almost are now

- there are very few things you can do on a 3B2 that aren't generic
UNIX applications (unlike the unix-pc, which has it's own
set of screen graphics which aren't generally portable.)
It's ok to post an occasional 3B2-specific program to info-3b2
if you want to do things like flash the green and red lights.

- there are existing newsgroups which handle portable UNIX sources
such as comp.sources.unix (though I've also seen Sun-specific
and 4.*BSD-specific and System V-specific sources there.)
- there are existing newsgroups like comp.sources.misc and alt.sources
which will accept *any* software, except PC binaries

- portable source (i.e. most 3B2 programs) is useful to almost everyone,
on almost every kind of machine, and most people won't read
	the 3b2 group

Would the person or persons responsible for the mess this forwarding
is creating please clean it up!

There's no excuse for posting such mess. No reason to have two headers
on one article.

How about doing it right.
