[comp.sys.att] RAM expansion on the 3B1 motherboard

have missed it.  I would like to know how I can increase the RAM
on the motherboard of my 7300.  I got my machine about last Sept.
during the fire sale and it came with a 20 Mbyte hard disk and 1 Mbyte
on the motherboard.  From what I hear, there is room on that motherbard
to go up to 2Mbyte.  

I would like to know if you have done it and if so how? How difficult
is this task?  Do I have to cut traces, put white wires etc?

Are there any third party vendors that will do this for a reasonable fee?

Also, is there a difference in the number of wait states when one accesses
the motherboard RAM as opposed to RAM hanging off of the "backplane".

Any help in this matter would be much appreciated.
