Greetings! Welcome to the first fabulous Vortex film
identification quiz! Below you will find twenty-five (25)
quotations from various films. The quotations are as exact as
possible, and were either spoken or sung by one or more characters
in those films.
To participate in this gala contest, you must identify the specific
film from which each quotation (or set of quotations) was taken.
Only one entry per user, please. The contest will run until approximately
72 hours has passed during which I have received no entries. After
the contest period closes, the winner will be that person who correctly
identified the most films. In case of a tie, bonus points will be given
to those who also correctly identify the character(s) (or group of
characters, as appropriate) in the film who spoke (or sung) the
quotation -- so be sure to include this information if you know it.
The winner of this fantastic contest will win a free guided tour of
Los Angeles, conducted by yours truly (transportation to L.A.
and all expenses are *not* included). The fantastic Vortex tour
will take you to many of those spots you've only heard about in the news
or envisioned in your dreams! See the Sunset Strip! See "The Galleria"
made famous in the song "Valley Girls". See the film stars busily
shopping on Rodeo Drive! See the amazingly compact Vortex machine room!
Yes, all of this, and even more, awaits the winner of this contest when
(and if) you ever make it to the city that "The Doors" immortalized as
"The City of Lights".

which follow are trivially easy to identify, while some should be quite
difficult. Underlines in place of words indicate words which have
been deleted to prevent "too easy" identification. Send your entries
