I've written a "toy" that displays 250x150 images in 7 grey levels on the 3b1. (Using a 3x2 cell for each ``pel''.) I have a small collection of pictures (SF bay, flower, pig, rocket, skull, and brain) that I've ``luminated'', subsampled and rescaled from a local image processing machine. None of them were designed for this application and none of this work is compatible with anything else, but I was pleased to recognize the pictures in varying shades of green on my safari monitor. Anyone interested in seeing this? I can mail to one or two responders or, if enough interest, I might post. Each image is stored using compress and is typically 85 - 95% smaller than 251*150 bytes. Uuencoding would double? this final size for each image. I would guess about 10K per image as an average. The source code is fairly small. -- John Campbell ...!arizona!naucse!jdc CAMPBELL@NAUVAX.bitnet unix? Sure send me a dozen, all different colors.
