Everyone set to have fun?? 1) Take your Keystone 9-track tape drives and plug it into the same single-ended SCSI line on your 3B2/600 that the internal system disks are on. Note: It probably works for other 3B2's. 2) Load a tape in and read it. 3) Open the door of the tape drive in the middle of the read and.... Watch your machine DUMP CORE!!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't it nice to know that when loading a tape, a read error will crash your machine. It's sorta like replacing the headlight on your car while the engine is running and causing it to throw a rod!! Enjoy, gray p.s. Sorry Jeff. I couldn't resist. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Computer Addresses: | Virtual Address: gray@med.pittsburgh.edu | Office of Biomedical Infomatics cgw@cadre.dsl.pittsburgh.edu | 217 Victoria Hall gray@unix.cis.pittsburgh.edu | Pittsburgh, PA 15261 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
