[comp.sys.att] looking for parts: at&t 6300's

eldridge@pdp.cs.OHIOU.EDU (Klaus Eldridge) (03/26/89)

Need spare parts to keep a lab of 40+ at&t 6300's running with a low
maintenance budget. Hard to find items such as the metric screws
which hold things in place, key caps, character ROM, etc. Students
are hard on this stuff and replacement sometimes means a whole
board at $200 for a $10 item. No reasonable donation rejected.
Provided the quantity is right, we even pay shipping. Willing to
consider complete systems if the price is low enough. (Note: for
some organiztions this could be tax deductible, if not plain PR.)

"Before you cast it into the pail, give a hail...."

Make me an offer I can't refuse! AT&T 6300, color monitor and 20MB
disk, 2 and a little years old. I'll even DRIVE it to you...
It will make lots of spare parts, though I'd like the priviledge
of dismembering it myself with a sledgehammer.

Ok, Ok. Please send me e-mail with an offer for the whole thing.
I can be reached at killer (strianta@killer.UUCP or at csnet
on spiros%gmr.com@relay.cs.net). Voice (317) 877-0223 home,
(317) 451-0641 work (indianapolis area)

For the rest of the readers, maybe this is the answer to my prayers.
Maybe Klaus' college will give a class on hardware debugging using my
machine (sarcastic :-))
