Does anyone know when the new (1988) version of the Korn Shell will be available as a supported binary product for AT&T UNIX System V/386? It's already available in source form from the Toolchest but if you buy AT&T UNIX right now you get the 1986 version. -- Tom Neff UUCP: ...!uunet!bfmny0!tneff "Truisms aren't everything." Internet: tneff@bfmny0.UU.NET I ordered the AT&T VAR/ISV toolkit (sorry, don't have a COMCODE handy), and received: Costs roughly $300-350... Software: o KornShell (KSH-88) (binary only) o Data Reformatters (a bunch of routines to convert different formats to other formats, ie. DIF to LOTUS-1-2-3, DbaseII to DbaseIII, etc..) Documentation: o The KornShell manual o The Data Reformatters Manual o Simultask/386 Device Driver Access Manual (DDA) o Integrated Software Development Guide (ISDG) This includes discussions on things like: Porting, Writing Device Drivers, Making Installable Packages, etc... Looks good! Just to have ksh, it's worth it! -Lenny -- Lenny Tropiano ICUS Software Systems [w] +1 (516) 582-5525 lenny@icus.islp.ny.us Telex; 154232428 ICUS [h] +1 (516) 968-8576 {talcott, decuac, boulder, hombre, pacbell, sbcs}!icus!lenny attmail!icus!lenny ICUS Software Systems -- PO Box 1; Islip Terrace, NY 11752
