It was asked how people reacted to Dr. Strangelove when it came out. I was young at the time, so I didn't see it, but my parents did, and related their story to me. When they saw it in the theatre, they were the only ones laughing at the end, when the song "We'll Meet Again" plays over the mushroom clouds that show the end of the world. (I think this is pretty funny myself. If you appreciate the humour in the movie, I don't think you can switch to a suddenly serious mood at the end) One woman in front turned around and said "Why are you people laughing???
