I've been thinking about ways to clean off the outside of my 3b1. That wonderful textured surface is great at picking up body oil that dirt can stick to, along with all the normal day-to-day dirt that comes with a computer being in an old house for two years, with daily (6+ hours) usage. I've tried isopropyl and a rag, that seems to work ok. I'm tempted to take all the plastic off and dunk it in with the dishes. I've done it with other computers... :-) Actually, with my Commodore C64's, I put a coat of primer and a coat of gloss paint on 'em. They looked snazzy and they just wiped off. Maybe I should paint the 3b1 matte black, ala NeXT. -- "If the bulk of American sf can be said to be written by robots, about robots, for robots, then the bulk of English fantasy seems to be written by rabbits, about rabbits and for rabbits." -- Michael Moorcock J.
