Confirming Eric's comments about formatting floppies on the UNIXPC ...

What I do to format is:

       iv  -i  /dev/rfp020  /usr/lib/iv/FD10nl

and if a file system is needed:

       mkfs  /dev/rfp021

One may need, though I've never had the occasion myself, to dismount after
the mkfs by:

       dismount -f
