As a vegetarian, I am somewhat careful to maintain a balance of amino acids in my diet. Although the need for this much caution for vegetarians has been downplayed recently; I still read the old vegetarian scare-lit which says "Combine your proteins or else" Anyway, I know that a deficiency of certain amino acids can drastically alter brain function -- causing depression, etc. What I was wondering: Can over-the-counter amino acid supplements have any effect on mood, either thereputic or recreational?

For purpose of illustration, let's assume that there are 1,500 readers of comp.sys.att and that 10% are angry enough to do what I propose. How many people can tolerate 150 email replies to each article they cross post? Sure, they can just delete them, but would not the SA notice and intervene? I would if it was coming from my site. I don't support terrorism or guerilla tactics and what I have suggested could be interpreted as either or both. On the other hand, it's something that each of us can do to invite the cross posters to retreat to their own group. The whole thing is silly, so I don't see any reason to not punish those who are too ignorant to realize that they can not punish AT&T and too stupid to accept that this newsgroup is not AT&T. Note that this is not cross posted to alt.drugs, nor am I suggesting that we follow suit with the beaux eaux who chooses to cross post here. There's email on its way to David Gross regarding how my stomach acid feels about his amino acids .0025 :-) -- Bill Kennedy {texbell,att,cs.utexas.edu,sun!daver}!ssbn!bill bill@ssbn.WLK.COM or attmail!ssbn!bill
