"It's too bad, sounds like it (THE KEEP) could've been a good movie if
done properly."

Please don't make such judgements on hearsay (unless this has been what
you perceive as the general reaction to that movie. I saw THE KEEP, and while
it definitely had it's problems, I found it to be well acted, well directed,
and well photographed. The impact of that scene in the crypt that Siskel and
Ebert referred to was certainly not exceeded by any other, but there were a
number of impressive scenes in the film, augmented by masterful set designs.

Re: A Clockwork Orange: It's been at least 10 years since I read the book,
but if a remember correctly, "A Clockwork Orange" was the title of a book that
the writer --- whose wife was raped by Alex and his droogies --- was working
on about how the people were being dehumanized by society and being made into a
synthesis of robotic and organic natures --- symbolized by the "clockwork
orange". This, of course was a dominant them in the larger story as well.
As regards the film, I agree wholeheartedly with your desription of it as
"that great movie"; it's my opinion that it's the most nearly flawless movie
I have ever seen. Just to put forth some trivia, were you aware that Julian,
the bodyguard that the writer had in the latter part of the movie was played
by David Prowse (aka Darth Vader)?
