<If this line weren't here, it wouldn't be here...> My (VERY) personal choice for 10 most favorite flicks are (in no particular order): 1. Casablanca (1942) - I think that Ingrid Bergman in this movie is the most beautiful woman to ever appear on the big screen, anytime, anywhere. And the camp, kinda gets ya right here, y'know!?! 2. Maltese Falcon (1941) - The best film adaptation of a detective story, by the best detective story writer (who also did the screen play, if my memory serves me). Bogie at his best. 3. The Lady Vanishes (1939) - My favorite Hitchcock (well, one of them them at any rate...). When I first saw it I didn't know what happened to the old lady, either! 4. Apocalypse Now (1978) - My Nam vet friends tell me they came out of this one with the shakes, or crying. For all the otherworldliness, they say that's the way it really was. 5. Z (196?) - Gets my blood up everytime I see it. Damn fascists! 6. Black Orpheus (1965) - For the lush cinematography and the music 7. Seven Samurai (19??) - Best Western ever filmed. 8. North By Northwest (1955) - My favorite Cary Grant. All of us common folk have that much panache, right?!? 9. The Gold Rush (1922 (?)) - Chaplin, the great clown. I cried and laughed at the same time, especially when he eats the shoe. 10. Star Wars (1977) - High tech comes to the theatre. Remember how astounding the effects are the first time you saw this?
