[net.movies] Does anyone remember the name of

greg@olivej.UUCP (Greg Paley) (01/18/84)

This will probably be one of a flood. The story
depicted is the legend of Orpheus and Euridice
(both of which I've seen spelled a zillion different
ways) and I'm almost certain that the Cocteau film
was simply named "Orpheus". If you liked the story
you should have a look at the intriguing retelling
of it, "Black Orpheus" which has since shown up in
a couple of "10 Favorite/Best" lists. As it is,
I've never had a chance to see the Cocteau film -
it's always been on my "must see" list but showings
have always conflicted with other things I've had
to do. Judging from other Cocteau work, I can well
believe it would have a place on a "10 Best" list.
