I saw a French film about six years ago and I can't remember the name of it. It has four main characters, two guys and two women, who all end up living together. There is this memorable scene in the beginning where a man and woman are in bed, in a house with 60's-hippie type decor, and another guy walks in and you think he's going to be pissed, but he takes off his clothes and climbs in with them and they all cuddle. One of the guys (I think Gerard Depardieu) then falls in love with another woman, and leaves the house to pursue her. The other two miss him while he's away. Then the woman who was being pursued by Depardieu starts living with all three of them. The other guy plays the piano and has some kind of mental problem and freaks out from time to time. The film was directed by a woman, I recall, though I don't remember her name either. Anybody remember this one? I liked it a lot.

I saw this one, I think it was called "Pourqois pas" (why not). I don't remember if Gerard Depardieu was in it or not. I thought it was not bad, really. Jan Edler cmcl2!edler (New York University) edler@nyu
