I'm not much of a movie-goer, but I've managed to keep the following lines indelibly etched in my brain. I smile when I think of them, so maybe you will, too. No references should be necessary, but can be supplied upon request. These are not necessarily the best movies or best scenes, just the best lines: "The Major has been shot. Round up the usual suspects." "...So ask yourself this question, punk: 'Do I feel lucky?'" "Then you must cut down the mightiest tree in the forest with... A HERRING." "Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no stinkin' badges!" -- *** *** JE MAINTIENDRAI ***** ***** ****** ****** ken perlow ***** ***** (312)979-7261 ** ** ** ** ..ihnp4!ihuxq!ken *** ***

Here's another great movie line. "We're going to win, because we're stronger than they are. Oh maybe not in numbers, but those men have never known the simple dignity of freedom." Sahara or how about "Mongo only pawn in game of life." Blazing Saddles or "Sink me." Scarlet Pimpernel or "Peachy, I'm real sorry about getting you killed, instead of going home rich like you deserved." Man Who Would Be King There are so many, Tom Harris

Sundance: "What's that?" Butch: "I ain't never shot anybody before." Sundance: (pause) "One hell of a time to tell me." Man in bar: "You're the Sundance Kid - if I draw on you, you'll kill me." Sundance: "There's that possibility." This is a movie with a number of really great conversations - I'll post more if anyone is interested. Also, my all time favorite for great lines is "Jeremiah Johnson" - will also post some of these in the near future unless torched by flames. Paul Beiser ...!hplabs!hpfcla!paul

Clint Eastwood: "Well, it figures.... anytime I get to likin' someone, they ain't around long." Chief Dan George: "I notice that anytime you get to dislikin' someone, they ain't around long neither." Well, I thought it was funny... Steve Alexander University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign ...!{parsec,pur-ee,ihnp4}!uiucdcs!stevea CSnet: stevea@Uiuc ARPAnet: stevea.Uiuc@Rand-Relay
